“Food was AWESOME at Encore Dinner Theatre!”

“Dinner & show with my handsome hubby…Food was AWESOME! I had so much fun last night at the Encore Dinner Theatre . Take a look at at a short video I shot – nothing on stage, it was against the rules. I’m looking forward to the Frank Sinatra and Dean Martin shows coming up for the holidays. ”

“Encore Dinner Theatre Impresses”

“The oven roasted half chicken with Chef’s special blend and lemon zest was moist and juicy, something not easy to do in a dinner theater setting. The signature gravy was tasty and I wanted more of it to go with the mashed potatoes and fresh seasonal vegetables on the plate. The Filet Mignon was also very good. A 6oz steak is cooked to the right temperature of medium rare and topped with a garlic tomato gorgonzola crust. Again, rather impressive when I thought about how I am at a dinner theater!”

“One of the Best Hidden Gems of Orange County!”

“Blending the elements of feast and storytelling, quality performances presented by seasoned actors alongside a gourmet meal by an award-winning chef is the foundation of the Encore experience.” “Ever since the venue was given a major makeover in 2011, it has brought the City of Trees’ cultural ways of tradition to a new generation of theater-goers — one even as young as 16 years old on his first date. Set against an interior of claret, leather banquettes and pristinely crisp, white tablecloths, you might imagine that you’ve traveled back to the legendary Chasen’s of Old Hollywood yore. The tiered elevations afford everyone an expansive vantage point.”

“The Encore Dinner Theater – A Fantastic Venue!”

“To start Melodi and I had appetizers. I ordered the Bruschetta. My Bruchetta was served on a piece of wood cut directly from the tree. The pieces of bread were perfectly toasted with the seasoned tomatoes and cheese sprinkled on top. They were laying on a bed of basil so you got just a hint of basil in each bite. It was some of the best bruschetta I have ever tasted! The show started right on time and it was fantastic! The cast was superb and the singing was pitch perfect! This show will have you laughing, crying and singing along for the entire performance.”

“Like We’d Been Flown to the Moon”

“Vegas star and well-known entertainer Henry Prego not only possessed a praiseworthy voice but also commanded a stage presence that transported the entire audience back to Rat Pack days. His demeanor and body language adopted all the iconic idiosyncrasies of the tributed blue-eyed crooner, and this true-to-life personality easily stole the hearts of the nostalgic older guests in the room and our young ones too! We did not fathom finding such a wonderful and rare place in Orange County.”

“Chef Christophe at Encore Dinner Theater”

“‘Food is first eaten with the eyes,’ says Christophe. It’s fitting, then, that the chef’s current post is at Tustin’s Encore Dinner Theater, a venue that is reminiscent of a 1940′s old time supper club, complete with big velvet curtains and oversized and bejeweled chandeliers that were modeled after the Metropolitan Opera in New York City. It’s all about what you see. So here, the food is theatrical. Beautifully presented. Sophisticated, classical, and traditional. Perfect for a theater crowd.”

“Newly Remodeled Encore Dinner Theatre”

“Enjoy award-winning dining and live theatre at the newly remodeled Encore Dinner Theatre in Tustin. It’s one of the hidden gems of Orange County, a stunning dinner theatre that’s equally as focused on its cuisine, as it is the show. New French chef, Christophe features Butcher’s Reserve Beef Brisket Sauerbraten on the new Fall dinner menu included in the price of the show.”

“Veterans pay tribute to theater owner”

“Peter Zappas, owner of Encore Dinner Theatre in Tustin, was presented with a certificate of appreciation by Ret. Air Force Sgt. Cornell Iliescu, 75, founder of The Noble Cause Foundation of Orange County on Sunday. “Cornell is the real story,” says Zappas. “He’s the most patriotic person I know. My dad was a WWII veteran. They are all getting older and passing away. Their story is being slowly forgotten and we can’t let that happen.”

Grease the Musical, “CRITIC’S PICK”

“Encore’s new production, directed with terrific TLC by Michael Lopez, hits the mark for its intimacy – you can really get to like the characters and appreciate their foibles – fast-moving, hand-slapping choreography and overall goofy appeal handled deliciously by a bright and enthusiastic cast. Bravo to Encore for a brilliant two act evening of delicious food and great entertainment!” ★★★★★ 5 stars.”

“Ring-A-Ding in the Holidays”

“Henry Prego headlines the festivities as Ol’ Blue Eyes, paying tribute to him by crooning classic Christmas tunes in the Frank Sinatra vocal style, backed by a 13-piece brassy live orchestra. The tuxedo-garbed Prego also sings Sinatra standards such as “New York, New York” in this two-act tribute modeled on the long running 1960s ABC-TV “Hollywood Palace” variety show. During the fast moving proceedings Prego introduces Elijah Rock as “a triple threat,” because the multi-talented artist can act, dance and sing.”
